I guess detention in Greece was a little harsher than in the U.S.

I sincerely doubt that (and I have first-hand experience). This was constructed after the building was abandoned. Also, nothing is actually functional. Film props, it seems.

I revisited it last spring, most of the porn had been nicked. :) (local construction workers were using the school as a great big changing room)

In the US they have time out rooms which are like padded asylum cells. At my school they had a small room with a heavy door that used to be a janitors closed with a mat on the floor. I blew up and the teacher FORGOT ME AND CAME RUSHING BACK called my mom and said i missed my buss. I DRAGGED MY MOM TO THE ROOM SHE WAS FURIOUS AND SAID IF THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A FIRE I WOULD HAVE BEEN TRAPPED IN THE BUILDING.[1976]
I looked at the new school and they had JAIL LIKE CELLS WITH 2X4 WOOD BARS [1987]
Before covid they had an investigation about TIME OUT/SECLUSION ROOMS and found out if a kid ; spilled milk, swore, threw lego blocks ,tore up his papers or walked out of the class room THEY COULD LOCK HIM AWAY FOR 1/2 TO THE FULL SCHOOL DAY!!!! THIS IS CHILD ABUSE!!! You will find this especially in SPECIAL EDUCATION.
Food for thought that they dont do this in the US. YES THEY DO and ITS ON THE INTERNET!!!.
