That's what happens when your wife dies, you don't want to change anything.
On a lighter side the man was never without his beef broth!

Some things in there don't look too old, like the Betty Crocker box at the top. Although the Matzo and TamTam crackers have to be over 10 years old.

I'm wondering if it's the personality type that causes this to happen. I know a veteran of operation Marketgarden, his wife died in '95, but he is content to p watch his stocks on CNN.
And I know several folks who have drive, their mind is constantly think "what if", well if their wife perished, that person would be devastated.

My friend Melvin had his name mentioned in the movie "a Bridge too Far".
He lost a leg in the campaign. I remember him telling my dad last year "(big) Dukes, that Captain that told me to take out that tank that blew out my leg, that sonnavabitch died last year"

Dukes you need an attitude adjustment.
The old man was sick. His wife died and that in turn brought him down hill!

  What did I say?
My point was this; Melving, a vet, lost his wife in '95, and he's content to watch his stocks on CNN.
In my next sentence, I basically said what amounts to " If this happened to me I would be crushed beyond belief and would probably kill myself than live a life of atrociuous misery and filth".
What part of that don't you agree with?
It looks like you're on my side here.

I can't see what 'Dukes said that was so offensive.

Maybe I need an attitude adjustment too... Where shall I report to ?

This happenes, I've seen it. Where one just refuses to change or remove anything they're wife/husband had put someplace before they passed away. Fear of change can be a bitch.

Yeah, I can relate to that. When my boyfried died, i didnt want anything to change. That, perhaps fortuantely, wasn't an option though.
