do UE people have a better eye for photography or do UE sites lend themself better to good photography, as the quality of the pictures on average is high, but those deserve 15/10

I've often thought when UE'ing certian sites that you could lock the shutter on rapid repeat and throw the camera out the window. You would get hundreds of great shots.
Some locations are just so photogenic you can't NOT take a good photo.

I know. on a noral roll of film about 10 of 36 photos are good, and 1 is really good, but when UE-ing raise that to 20 and 4-6 ^.^

Just think about the reasons why alot of us do this in the first place. To see what others rarely get to. Now, how many pictures of sunsets or grandpa's new boat have we seen? Tons! But abandoned mining islands? Those tools rusting in puddles of water? What artist would wait 30+ years to complete one photograph like that? It's absolutely amazing the things that we're able to find and bring out. So much oddity. So much ironic humor and simple emotion. Our world is so freaking complicated... sometimes we need a good step back in time to pick up on the simpler emotions conveyed through photography. That's what gives these photographs their power. That's what makes these images great. Well, that's my 2 cents at least...

when things decay, they tend to blend together and create strange textures that work so well in a photo...all the elements combining together...

I never get tired of looking at this entire gallery. Think I've checked out these pics a few dozen times over the years. They're still the absolute epitome of great UEing.

I remember seeing these photos several years ago. They've stuck with me ever since. I can't say they are the reason I went into UE. But they were one of the main reasons I've revisited it feverishly.
