No idea... they look like they're made of feathers, though.

Look like preserved fish tails... I've seen something similar in the home of an avid angler... Not sure though ?
Looks way cooler than a 'Billy Big Mouth Bass' anyways.

Eat them up Yum.... I took a fish tail out to see a movie.... Didn't have to pay to get it in.

That brings me back to my childhood... Dr Demento, not hanging fish tails on the wall...

I think it was Barnes and Barnes that did the fish heads song, not dr. demento. Thats just the mis-authored ripped version for some reason...

The Japanese did some odd things. This might have been done to ward off bad spirits or something

Maybe to boast of fishing skills or for good luck for a plentiful catch. Interesting custom.

Some sort of home made fish trophy. It was a popular thing to do. Basically you are showing off your fishing skills - 'look what I've caught'. The British also did it, however they preferred to mount the heads of their quarry from hunting trips.
