  don't fall in... Pulpers take purchase pulp (which look like stacks of cut thick paper) and turn it into pulp that can be blown out on to the wire to make paper. It's tossed in, mixed with water and broke paper and made into pulp. Purchase pulp is pretty expensive and most integrated mills only use it when they have to.
