Getting transit nerd here, but the first ones classified as G1 were red right until retirement. Only the subsequent classes (G2, G3, G4) were unpainted aluminum and weighed less. There was also an H1 car painted into an experimental red/black/gold paint. Still, the Gloucester trains were awesome and I wish I could remember them. I was only 4 when they were retired. My mom remembers the red subway cars. Crazy. I had no idea. I totally agree they should have stayed red, reminds me of the UK for some reason.

I think that's Union but I'm not 100% sure. The destination sign says Eglinton, so we're probably dealing with the original Union-Eglinton Yonge line. It's a centre island platform as well, which narrows the choices down to Union and Eglinton only. Finally, I believe that Eglinton always had white vitrolite tiles. So... I'm gonna go with Union station, obviously Northbound.

Nope. Main and Keele don't have island platforms. The destination sign also belongs to the Yonge-University line (Spadina wouldn't have existed at the point when Eglinton was a terminus)

I used to like riding in the Gloucester cars. They olny had one power pick up point I think. When the third rail would change the lights would go out sequencially down the whole train for a half second.
