2 / 10   Tram overview

Description
From the bottom of the mine workings, the tram system is visible extending several hundred feet to the upper workings. The cable is tied to a large boulder in front of the tram tower to keep it taut. Unfortunately the cloud cover makes it difficult to make out many details. The weather was great in the beginning of the day, and started getting bad as we were hiking back from our failed attempt at reaching the Panamint Treasure Mine. It stayed like this throughout the time spent exploring Warm Springs Canyon and it began to rain heavily as we were getting back onto the highway.
