I've stopped there a few times while out for a drive, and yes, we got funny looks because we weren't bikers or regulars, but that didn't faze us. I used to frequent the old Redwood Tavern off Old Almaden Rd and McKean Rd before that was torched in '96. Old timers and bikers use to tell me how they would do a Sunday ride starting at the Feed and Fuel (Closed) or the Quicksilver Kitchen (demolished for McMansions) and wind around Calero, Uvas, and Chesbro and return up old 101 or take off towards santa cruz.
