This was a nice building. Why does the Hamilton Board of Education have to tear down such nice schools? I'm sure they could have found a good use for it.

All school boards do this, it is a money game. The old school buildings are built tough, they would last hundreds of years if properly maintained. The boards let maintenance lapse, then they have an excuse to get more $$ from the taxpayers, build new schools, and then take credit for keeping the schools modern.

Yep - in Columbus Ohio we recently voted down a levy for building more schools. We basically told the school board to use the buildings that already exist. It got old.
