  i worked on a renovation of a school, flourescent lights are also considered toxic, the ballasts and tubes must be removed prior to demo

  Fluorescent tubes contain mercury. Not good stuff. The ones with green ends have less, but all of them have some.

  Good to know. Originally I thought they were just removing all the lights to save money, and that really was not making sense to me! Haha.

  Also, the fluorescent ballasts (transformers) contain PCB's
