  um, i belive that they are now mostly 11, although if it is a local call, the area coce, and the numeral 1 before it are not nessecary, making it 7

  in the netherlands we have 3 digit area codes for big cities and 4 digit area codes for smaller cities/areas. the total always adds up to 10, though. ( so 7 digits in the big cities ).

I might be wrong though.
