This hospital was built in 1928 to treat those suffering from tuberculosis. The main architect on the project is the well known Fred Wesley Wentorth, who designed some of Paterson's greatest buildings. The small campus functioned as the Valley View sanatorium until the county no longer had a need for one. It was converted into a county run nursing home before closing in 2009. After closing, the land was bought up by a quarry. The first buildings to be demolished were the old nurses houses. Then, one by one, the rest of the buildings were abated. The next building to be demolished after the nurses homes was the morgue/powerplant/lab building. Then Building 1, the main building, was demolished starting with the right side of the administration building.

Demolished so the quarry could mine the rock underneath the facility.
