For the next 46 years, the hospital served the Los Altos community at this location. Around September 2010, the hospital vacated this building and moved into a more modern building within Los Altos. The old two-story hospital building housed employee and administrative areas on the second level, while the lower level contained the reception area, treatment rooms, surgical rooms, labs, and kennels. The building sat vacant for approximately 9 months, during which time inspectors and/or scrappers tore through walls, ceilings, and the roof, leaving piles of insulation and debris throughout the building.
