Building is 4 stories, approx 1000'x200' in plan. It is composed of a number of sections built at different times, which makes the space somewhat confusing. Nice complex roof. Neat machinery scattered throughout. Offices with piles of documents.

Great roof with lots of ladders. Nice collections of old machinery; the boilers and shop rooms in the basement are especially awesome. Catwalks, staircases, ladders. The union office in the basement is full of cool old documents; other offices still have furniture and paperwork; a lab upstairs has color testing equipment. Part of the plant is still used for storage of cardboard and plastic boxes, although no personnel were observed on my two visits. consider the place 'semi-active'. The remaining building with the large sign on top is not really interesting inside. There seems to be a basement, but the lower level of the building has been filled with dirt.

There has been a paper mill at this site since 1867. The current complex is a mishmash of different eras. The plant stopped making paper in 2001 (judging by the NASCAR calendars left on the office walls in the basement), but part of it is still used for storage. the site was purchased by a columbus, ohio firm to be demolished and made into apartments. demolition took place May-July 2004

The main building was demolished in May-July 2004. Student apartments were built in its place, which feature the theme of the mill; they are called Peninsular Place.
