I've been down there 4 times in the last 10 days. BUT.... I've been, "otherwise disposed of" in my time and travels there.

Hopefully sometime in the next couple weeks I'll be back with some more time on my hands. I'll keep ya'll posted.

George airbase is way cool. Near end of day, dusk, sunset = awesome photos.

It gets creepy fun at night..........especially the hospital.

I really want to hit this place up this summer CR. I'll try to set something up, let me know what your schedule is like for July if at all possible. - d

Hit up George during the daylight at least to see the scope of it, get your bearings, and plan what you want to see. This way when your cruzin' around at night you'll know what you want to see, and how to get there.....

This old ski area is up near there also..

Decrep, in july we'd surely want to go near end of day......HOT! Plus the night time creepy factor adds so much to the experience.

HAHA AWESOME! I was thinkin like, about climbing up a tower and traversing a cable to one of the little lifts and getting some pictures on it

That looks fun!

George AFB, and the ski area are very easy to find and get in. Security at George usually won't mess with you unless you're being a noisy idiot, or driving like Mad Max.

This place sounds sweet. I really like military bases as they are usually so damn big, the old resort is the icing on the cake. Lets plan this shit out.

Therrin: I would pay to see you do that and be able to get pictures of it.

I'm pretty sure there is a mine up right near the ski area, Therrin probably knows of it. And an old zoo where a lot of animals perished in a fire in the '30's.

But I'm old and my memory is shit these days!!

I think there's an old mine in the area. Oh! And an old zoo.

But my memory sucks these days.....

There might be a zoo, near an old ski area.

But I can't remember shit anymore.

Did we already go out to the old airbase???? Did I poop my pants again?
When is my sponge bath?

Aight I'm back. I actually spent the last several days down in OC. Went to the AWEA conference and exhibition at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Oh! which reminds me, I went to the Block last night to watch some movies.. and noticed a nice looking outfall along a concrete river out there.
Renaissance & Chapman. It's just east of Renaissance, and on the north side of chapman, but the river perpendicularly bisects Chapman.

Decreptitude: I can get out on them if you'll take the picture. How much you payin'??

CR400: I actually am not sure about the mine area offhand, I don't even know exactly where the ski lift area is. If you PM me with coords or a location somehow, I'll look it over with my information and get back to you on local mine locations.

I'm hoping to be back down there in the next week or two, you guys should keep me in mind with your planning.

Thanks for the call and the directions CR400!!

Oh btw, I'm pretty sure this is NOT in OC. Maybe LA or San Bernardino...

Just moved to SoCal(Huntington Beach) from Pennsylvania (~3 weeks ago) doesn't seem to be enough closing businesses in OC to have abandonments but I've done a bit of draining and hit up LA a couple times

Anyone know any good abandonments or drains in HB area?

Here's some pics of an abandoned hospital I visited last night in OC

I think the light was suppose to be on the wall. LOL.
I hope the shot wasn't supposed to be just dirt or I've been shooting wrong all these years.
