So when we want up there we got caught by the NEW people that live up there. I want to plan a trip up there with about 25 people. All who's in let me know and we can set a date.

I'd be interested in seeing it again. What did the new people do about you when they caught you? Just tell you to f*** off, or call the authorities?

I'm mostly interested in the large mining structure on the hill. The group I was with several years ago (geocaching) weren't real interested in exploring the insides of any buildings.

I have a Chrysler Pacifica, so if I go I have comfortable seating for 5. Tossing in some gas money is encouraged for any group outing. I've taken the thing wheeling in the NV desert before. I have to dodge most of the big ruts, but it does well on the type of roads going into New Idria.

The "authorities" are at LEAST an hour away from this place. These people have always just yelled at us and told us not to touch anything, but you don't have to worry about the law out here. What you DO have to worry about is these people taking the law into their own hands.

No, what I meant was that we split up into mobs and keep the residents busy.

Went up last Sunday night during the full moon and the place was deserted. A few trucks were going the other way down the road when we drove in -- looks like they spent the day up there 4-wheeling. We arrived at 8pm and left at 4am and didn't see or hear anyone. Here's some photos: http://www.joereif...host%20Town%20II/1

I would like to be part of a larger group intent on mobbing this place. As always Rocky will assist with security if called upon. Let us know.

I won't be driving up through Oakland for that one. Would be fun to have Rocky along again. Such a good dog.

Rocky and I would love to make it. If anyone can help us with a ride we can cover your gas and pick up lunch.
