| | | I have yet to post a full rundown of an exploration on here for a couple of reasons. First, I suspect that some of the places I have visited are in the DB and I am waiting until I am a full member to check before I post something redundant. Second, most of the places I like are abandoned houses and to be real honest, unless it is exceptional, all abandoned houses start to look the same after a while. Third, there are a couple places I have gone where I will probably wait a while before posting as not to incriminate myself. I do plan on posting some spots on here but I like a little bit of time to have past before doing so.

| | | No. Less so still after a number of our favorite pristine sites visited over many years were trashed by by someone who justified actions with, 'Well, they are abandoned anyway...' They even photographed setting off fire extinguishers, smashing windows, graffitied walls, and throwing stuff about. Sad, but the usual story I suppose...

| | | Nope. Some of them, yes. I'll create threads about alot of the mines. And show pictures, but I usually only call them by their common place names without giving specific locations or driving directions or anything. Most of the mines, as far as I'm concerned, if someone's going to take the time to drive all the way out to them and/or hike up to the drift locations then they're more than welcome to check them out as well. I only just posted my first DB location a week or so ago. Most of the stuff I wont post in the DB because I don't want it disseminated that freely. The one I posted so far, if you can hike into and out of the location; then its fair game. For the most part though I don't post up everything here. Some stuff is just private. You see it, you experience it. That's cool. If other people also experience it, that's cool too. Doesn't mean I want every single site I visit to be thrown all over the web.
Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |

What the fuck, yeah I know even your local UE could be like this, that is why I screen who I go with or tell spots about, instead it out of the bag. I already got a new spot and some good UE will be able to explore the sht out of it!

| | | nope, the main reason being that I don't own a camera and nobody would be interested in me simply posting a short account of what I explored. the other reason is the same that many people have given, that If I find something really awesome I don't want people trashing it. this has yet to happen to me, but I would rather not be the cause of some cool place getting destroyed because I told the whole world about its existence. Edit: sorry everyone, I forgot that I already posted in this thread..... this is a better explanation though. [last edit 9/10/2010 3:12 AM by Superlocrian - edited 1 times]

| | | Definitely not - some of them are just not post worthy, and the ones that really are I wouldn't want to see trashed to hell and back. If it isn't a big secret, I don't mind sharing, and I think eventually every place ends up in this category so I don't think it's a big deal to stay "tight-lipped" for a while.
