| | | Posted by mohavewolfpup Good job, this is how UE should be done. do you just do ships, or if it's laying around a victim of time you'll be crawling over it?
|
I haven't done a write-up like this for anything else, but I explore a variety of different places. Hospitals and ships seem to be my favorites.

well I hope you do more write ups in the future! got any other places planned for one, or it's just more a exploration hobby at this point?

| | | thats super awesome. I spent 10 years in the Navy, and have since wanted to explore the ghost fleet. I'm pretty jealous that you go to board any of the ships. Nice job!

Despite the fact that it is bad for the environment, I wish I could say the ships are "sitting" there, but they are being towed away pretty rapidly. 8 or 9 ships have been removed since January. Soon, most of them will just be a memory...

| | | If you go to vintageaeriel.com (SP) You can pull up a range of aeriel(SP) photos thru the years of that ghost fleet sitting there. Try their swipe tool and you can sweep the photo from on year to another by sweeping the cursor across the page.............Hours of fun I tell ya...I looked at disneyland, and Knotts Berry Farm thru the years......Awesome tool

Wow, that sounds awesome! I'll have to check that out. It must have been incredible to see around 400 ships out there during the 50's. [last edit 5/23/2010 11:26 PM by YouOnlyLiveOnce - edited 1 times]

| | | Well to be honest, some areas only have a few recent photos, but I happen to know that the reserve fleet has something like a photo per decade, starting in the '50's.... Enjoy.
