Only in the bay area will you see a sign that says to slow down because you might run over a frog.

That ones looks like the battery closer to the golden gate. In total there is somewhere near a hundred sites in the hills above and below San Francisco. They all start to blend together after a while.

Yeah, there's a bunch of cool stuff out there.

There's a lot of neat art in the open bunkers.

The art up there rocks. I love the buildings on the ridge next to the microwave relay above the path that leads to the lighthouse. Those wood floors kick ass.

Oh, and what the hell is in Battery Wallace? That beep drives me crazy.

Some claim it to be moisture detectors, others claim it to be alarm sensors.

I personally think they're hiding stuff in there. But that's just me.

I will try hard to get that beeping silenced for one & all!

I have seen the thing that's beeping, & just didn't pay enough attention to it to notice/remember if it's an alarm for an intrusion system or moisture sensor. It could easily be either.

For anyone up in the Marin Headlands today, we'll have the Battery Townsley Open House from Noon - 4PM.

I would like to think that it's the remains of a cold war program to make a computer capable of plotting he remainder of a total nuclear war in the event that congress is destroyed in the first exchange of weapons and that it thinks that we are really at war due to lack of orders, so silently it plots Armageddon. Well, not so silently, as it does make beeping sounds, but point well taken I would hope.

In any event I'm heading up to that end of the world soon so I would be interested in checking out some stuff.
