| | | I've never unplanned met real explorers and talked face-to-face with them, except in public or "semipublic" locations. However, in Liege there is this abandoned fort, Le Chartreuse, which I had explored before and I went to it to study for a big exam because at my house everyone was partying - I needed a location somewhere off from noise and internet I went into a room and studied for two hours, then I needed to take a leak so I walked to one of the toilets (found a non-broken one) and did my thing, when I came back I thought I heard footsteps. When I went into the hallway to check I heard one more (I was sure) then it was silent, so I thought "bum" (had never seen one but there are multiple sleeping bags and locations there). I continued studying then about 15 minutes later I heard some more footsteps and 2 minutes later someone ran out - I could see an adolescent so I suppose he wasn't a bum but a scared explorer Tijmen

| | | Posted by piplnr65656 I accidentally scarred some highs school kids (I think) at Glendale in Maryland. We were almost up to the building getting ready to make a run from the tree line to the entrance when all of a sudden we heard a blood-curdling scream and saw a flashlight running by the windows on the top floor. That scared the absolute shit out of us... |
Ha ha ha!! That's so friggin funny! Maybe they thought it was haunted! =D

We were almost up to the building getting ready to make a run from the tree line to the entrance when all of a sudden we heard a blood-curdling scream and saw a flashlight running by the windows on the top floor. That scared the absolute shit out of us. We waited for a while in the bushed and decided to go for it and do our best to avoid the other people. I was just inside the entrance when a large group of kids walked by in the main hallway and they never saw me. I let them get up a ways and then I slowly walked after them in the hallway in the dark. Everything was going smooth until I stepped on a piece of glass. When they heard the glass break they freaked, one dropped a nice expensive Stern light and they all ran down a dead end hallway and hid in a room. I slowly crept my way down the hallway till I got to the only closed door. I could here a girl hyperventilating and saying, “Oh my god, oh my god” and a guy whispering “shut up, shut up”. I really wanted to kick the door in and scare them to death but I was worried about getting trampled to death by a bunch of kids so I silently walked back to my group and we headed down to the tunnels.

did you keep the Stern light?

| | | Me and a friend (logtec) ran into a couple guys in the Oakville Hydro building. Thought they were security at first, but it turned out to be these guys Hubub and his friend from the UER site. We swapped stories and went our separate ways. All was cool. Other than that we met a couple of chicks shooting a documentary in Picton Psych.

| | | Never rain into other explorers. Had a few close calls with security and I've come upon transients here and there, then when you're looking for a way in, it's almost a given that in Portland area, secluded area will be littered with garbage belonging to transients.

| | | Happened a couple of times to me... The most recent was Saturday in an abandoned church, I looked up to see two people climbing through the window. Ended up being Seany and Hoverfly.... I ended up ditching my group to hang out and spend more time shooting with those two guys...

| | | " This has never happened to me, but I imagine it could be quite funny. I guess there is the potential for both parties to assume that the other are legitimate security guards etc, and so for them both to hide from each other." thats EXACTLY what happened. scared us so much ! but then we ended up having great night exploring together, it was cool.

Just happened the other weekend. I was with two others, one was with me and another was across the building. We heard people climbing in through the window. He hid for a minute but decided to not scare them, and my partner asked if they needed help getting in. Yes, they ended up being UE people. L

| | | Wow, this thread got way off topic. It was supposed to be about meeting other UE people, NOT non-UE people. L

| | | Posted by RochesterUE I had a dream I did once. No really. I was working a 14 hour shift at the ambulance and fell asleep and dreamt I was in Cleveland exploring and ran into some UER chick named bekki or something like that. It was a weird dream. Then I got the call for the MVA, so that dream was promptly ended

wow i actually had a UE related dream last night hah, i was in Tennessee (don't ask i don't know why) and there was an abandoned school across the street from the hotel i was staying in. I haven't really ran into anyone while exploring, although I've heard other people while exploring. I just didn't go to see if they were friendly or not.

| | | I've been out 3 times so far and have seen people the last two times. We didn't say anything to the first group of kids but we talked to the second for a bit. Nothing special.
