basically what happened was....me = out of shape = not good with heights = never rappelled/ascended before = bad times.
i exhausted my muscles immediately trying to hang on for dear life to the ascenders and i couldnt move. took me maybe 45mins to go up about 20 feet? sad sad state of affairs my friend.

its totally true, i admit it. once i got to the top, i fell over, couldnt even stand on my own. then i threw up (mostly water) and laid in the fetal position for a while. 100% true, sincerely.

Did you go in a door that was already open? There seemed to be a few easier ways down then just using a rope, but I would definitely be tied to one if I was going down.
