Here's a great safety poster from the US Army advising against dangerous activities like Huffing and Urban Exploring https://safety.arm..._Thrill_Seeker.pdf

Apparently a large number of explorers have died from sewer gasses (possbly while huffing them, lol), and most people explore due to a whim or dare. Don't be suckered in!

It's kind of unfortunate that Exploring is well known enough to make it onto such posters... I made a joke/comic once about the "War on UE"... but it doesn't seem all that improbable...

Beside singling out urban exploration, this poster is poorly thought out. It sends the message "don't do anything dangerous" when it should be about thinking before you do anything involving potential danger. I don't think people who want to avoid any chance of encountering danger should be in the military. I swear, modern society is becoming more wimpy every day.

I'm in the Army (OH NO OPSEC!) and of all the crap they brief us on safety related I've never been briefed on UE. A small majority of the people I work with know what I'm into, I'll be browsing at work and I'm not scared to be like "Dude check out what this dude climbed"

Hell I met a dude on Flickr who is also a soldier and took him to a roof:

(my photo, got to play with his glass)

Since the Army is trying to get people out of the service for the minute crap if you get a Company/Field/Summarized Article 15 (Google it) for anything they start paper work to get you out of the service. It's up to a higher echelon to whether or not you get to keep your job. Wouldn't surprise me if I got a trespassing ticket I'd be back home in a month or two. I'm getting ready to go on vacation at the end of this week so all this week is "Safety Stand-down" where we get endless briefings on how not to be a fuck stick and this has never popped up.

I'm in El Paso and I think they're more worried about us soldiers getting kidnapped and taken into Juarez. Donkey show anybody?

Edit:
Oh yeah it's a BOSS safety poster (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) and they have a million different ones. BOSS does events (Beer tastings, on-post concerts, speed dating, hiking...ect...ect) for soldiers and I guess this is something they tried to get people to go to their events.

Edit:Edit:

Should be able to see that image, buddy of mine Planking on a Bradley.

They might as well say: "We need our boys to be injured in the line of duty, rather than on their own time."

I thought this looked familiar:

I know being shot at in the army is MUCH safer then going in some abandoned building on your own time.

"safety.army.mil uses an invalid security certificate."

Looks like a dangerous site. The military are know to ambush.

Your security measures were inadequate.
How unfortunate for you.

I can't speak for Clegg's preferences, but getting to play with someone's really sweet lens is almost as good as sex. Almost.

Apparently, having people shoot at you and your buddies in the middle of the desert is less dangerous than walking down a hallway.

Excuse me, I'mma go walk down a hallway like a baws.
