That would be a sanitary sewer!(I know, misleading name)
Drains are typically excess water/storm water runoff. They certainly don't smell as bad and its pretty easy to discern the two!

| | | | i know of many drains in colorado springs we have some of the best drains in midwest mostly old water aquaducts that brought water from the moutains.. i have a website were u can read drainage basin reports / maps for colorado springs but their really old from like the 70's so the correctness of it might be off but ive found many new places this way.. i would look threw your city's web page for info or type in /mddp at the end of the http. ull need to be able to read pdf. files or tif. files tho.
