Another reason to only go in open entrances at rivers and such. The only thing I fear is running out of light.

extra batteries (and back up light)?

Ok, I think I know where one might be. My only problem is, have any of you ever gotten stuck in drains? I think I would be afraid the whole time that I cant get back out, haha. Is that not really much of a problem?

If you start at the river, then 'in' is always upstream. And 'out' is always downstream. That's a handy thing about drains.

Avoid pipes smaller than the distance between your knee and butt unless you like crawling backwards - this is the size where you cannot turn around. You might consider modifying a skateboard for little pipes.

ALWAYS avoid pipes without airflow until you've gotten used to monitoring your air. And if you feel dizzy, weak, confused, or fuzzy, leave. It helps to bring a friend, but if you can't - make sure someone knows when and where to come looking. Generally, airflow means fresh air, which means less non-oxygen and toxic gases. No airflow means, hell if I know what the air will be like.

Obviously check the weather and don't drain in rain. Read that approach.txt thing, it's all about drains.

The bosses always tell us, if we go into an enclosed space without checking the air quality, and something happens, like a loss of consciousness, it will be treated not as a rescue but as a recovery...........

You can see a million miles tonite, but you can't get very far.
