Haven't posted in a while. Here is a set from last month.
Found some bottles of cyanide and packaged vaccine needles (I forget what disease) that day.

Mamiya 645 / Kodak 160VC

Tear them up

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6. This is Astia slide film, not 160VC...

7. lab building undergoing demolition.

8.

I loved them all but number 4 is my favorite. I found myself trying to make shapes in the peelings like clouds.

The depth in the first one is amazing. 3 is probably my favourite (aww, poor shunned chair!) but any of them would be my favourite in any other set.

What a lovely morgue shot!

5 stands out to me in the fact that it's the first boring photo i've ever seen you post. not horrible, just dull. and i'm not sure what you're going for in the last one.

leave the gun. take the cannoli.

These are all great! Would love to go on a exploration here in MA with some of you more experienced people to capture things like this (hint hint lol) anyway these are all really outstanding! I really love the chairs.

1-5 are amazing. I don't like 6 at all and the last couple are okay but don't compare to the first 5. 2 is the greatest. Perhaps the greatest picture I have seen on this website.

I am really surprised by the lack of comments here. I would like to add that my only real issue with 7 is the distortion. Especially with the light in the upper left corner.

Kudos to you, sir. Kudos to you.

@8redrum - All of them. I can pick out things I dont like in each picture, I'm sure other people can too.

@Corley - Was really on the fence about the last three. As for 8, when I saw the clouds like that I had to take the shot and it didn't come out nearly as well as I had hoped. Was hoping for some sort of minimalistic artsy bullshit but clearly it didn't work. Thought maybe someone would tell me what to do better.

@argonian - I don't like 6 much either, so thanks for that. As for the distortion in 7, unavoidable with a 20mm equivalent lens, but I agree, that stretched out light bugged me.

heheh... will, i think that perhaps you want now, what you give to other people here. perhaps. i think you know that this is one of the weakest sets you have put up.. at least from what i have seen of your work. and perhaps you are testing the viewers. or maybe i am overanalyzing, idealizing, once again..
not that i can even do some of the things you are accomplishing here, but i can still see what doesnt look right to my eyes and mind, regardless.

here you go.

8. an establishing shot for.. clouds? crooked cupola, and underexposed in the lower right, the tree and the building appear to blend together. (on my computer)

7. is just boring. a good documentation of the destruction of a great place. i see you didnt crop the door to save the light, but to me a different angle where the slightest bit of door was not showing would have been better altogether. or post crop it. because i know that perhaps if you got that out via angle change, the doors might have been more hidden behind the table. its a tough room.

6. like the ambience, but its really simple. not that thats bad...

5. is just.. kinda crooked, and too clean (aka boring, even) to my liking. perhaps a different angle, or closer up to make what that hall does have more interesting.
or maybe its just an establishing shot. so artism (yeah, i made up my own fucking word) in that case is not always possible, methinks.

4. too much centered - ness. maybe it would have been more successful as a vertical piece instead.

3. too much negative, negative space. perhaps reducing some floor shown and underexposing slightly would have fixed that a bit?

2. no offense, i dont think its the best on the website. something about the composition bothers me. perhaps overall its too symmetrical.

1. is the best one here, i think. i have nothing critical to say. i love the composition of the different door sizes, the complimenting reoccurring colors, the lighting. the negative space is well placed, its smooth, its crusty, pebbly... tone variations, contrast of patterns on ceiling to floor... wonderfully focused focal pointed end of hall with staircase.

dude. where are the photos of the cyanide and needles??????

edited my 3 a bit.
