|  | | | Does any one have any good ideas about what maps to use because i try google but it hard to see the building and bing does not allow you to zoom in close enough to see the building

| | | | as others will say, its best to just drive to the location. Just like a house that appears vacant - Google/Bing will only give me so much - but its to the point where I have to drive there.

| | | | Check your local City Hall for aerial photos from a plane. My local library also has a nice array of local aerial shots. Most are older tho. Since Satellites that seams to be the way they all go. If you pay a lil $ for google earth pro, it gets a few clicks closer. So I've heard.

| | | | Google Street View, if available, is really good. It's usually pretty recent. Driving by is always the best, but if you don't have a car, Google Earth, Google Maps, Bing, Terraserver.
Try searching your local newspaper for building or business closings. It worked a couple times for me.
[Edit: As far as official specs, I've never read that Google Earth Pro let you see any closer, so I wouldn't pony up the dough.]

You notice at a certain level of zoom (out) when it's satellite pics.
Try zooming in on, say, area 51 and all you get are satellite wide shots, they are sorry about how little zoom they have.

Try this site, it lets you use a swipe tool, this will allow you to split the screen and move the cursor across the screen, it will be 2005 on one side and 1953, or whatever years you pick on the other side. As you swipe across you can see how things have changed.
I've used it to check missile bases in my area thru the years, I looked at Disneyland thru the years, old homes I've lived in. I went back to 1971 and saw my grandpas car sittin' in his driveway.
It can be a little slow, but you can spend hours on this site if you're patient.
You can see a million miles tonite, but you can't get very far.

I've noticed that 2003 or 2004, the photos are clearer in my area.
Bummer is the swipe tool won't allow you to move to a different area while you're using it.

There is an article on here covering the trespassing laws. I found out for my state, TN, that doing UE (trespassing) is a Class C misdemeanor, which means if they catch me they ask me to leave and i do so. But if you have lock picks, hammers, spray paint, and other burglary tools, its considers aggravated trespassing and is a class A misdemeanor. I dont know the punish meant bc i will never do it, so i didnt bother.
