How about 50 more characters in the signature.. come on, you know you wanna let me have them...

Sigs that are longer than the user's average post length are a bad thing.

You are the only person I have seen that would require that many words in their signature. If you want to write a novella in your profile you could probably find 50 characters using the space in your user name, location, gender, personal text, and signature. *steps slowly away*

signatures are not to contain images or be longer than 4 lines or so... i'm sure it mentions this in the rules somewhere. we don't want to be reading sigs that are longer than people's posts.

No, I don't. I disapprove of this suggestion.

You're allowed 400 characters, and 4 lines, that's more than enough.

I agree, I dont see what is so importent that you need more room for your every post to sign it. I would bet good money that the majority of people will ignore your crappy sig. that just wastes space and time. Stop whining dammit.

Images are strictly verboten in sigs as per forum rules. For the record, it's 90k, which isn't exactly small when it's going to be loaded along with every one of your posts.

You would know as you were banned for your annoyingly long signature once. So why should we trust you? Obviously you saw nothing wrong with it when you did it.

I think that that was her point. The way I know her, I think that she was trying to say that making signatures even longer may result in other people like her who make annoyingly long signatures. She didn't see anything wrong with it at the time and you should trust her because she knows from experience that long signatures are a very, very bad idea.

What if images under, say 5K could be allowed, as long as they remain under a certain pixel size and physical size.

Heres Raider's image, compressed to 2.7K from 91K.

EDIT: Oops, I didnt notice the color changing effects in Raider's image. (Nice pic Raider) But small images under 5K wouldn't cause much of an impact would they?

It's not so much the size of the picture as it is the annoying-ness of the picture. I don't want to have to see the same little picture 50 million times a day, and I'm sure a lot of other people here will agree.

I've seen signature pictures on other forums, and they do tend to get annoying. If you have a picture you desperately need to show everyone you can use your personal image, that's what it's there for.
