It's totally cliche in terms of our UER photography standards, but this was a mainstream publication. The general public has no idea what a "stereotypical UE photo" looks like. So the article is targeted at its target audience, which is not us. Nothing wrong with that, imo. And I've seen much worse UE photos...

What those fuckers need to do is start interviewing those of us who have survived in the city, find some common factors, and start applying that to the rest of the country.

Not to mention that they edited the hell out of Eve and Roman's photo of the Packard plant to make it look even more decrepit, thus painting an even uglier portrait of the city. The photographers are cool, we've met with them several times, they were even tasteful enough to ask us to use the title of our web tour 'The Fabulous Ruins of Detroit' for their art show over in France.

Time on the other hand, is a waste of breath. The Vice article sums it up.
