If they behave in a way that seems benign, show them respect and courtesy and 99/100 times they will do the same.
If you encounter gangbangers/armed people/drug labs I would strongly advise leaving the premises, and in the case of drug labs, make an anonymous phone call to the police.
It's easy to see police and yourself on opposite "sides" but really the area isn't fit for exploration if it houses an active drug lab. Stay the hell away until the proper authorities take care of it.

I wouldn't get too outright about it dude, or you might have him breaking into your house some night with his heat vision before filling you with lead and watching you bleed to death. Then he will probably talk about it on the internet.

not worried because I heard he was grounded - did a real half-assed job mowing the lawn last weekend and did't get his allowance.

I somewhat agree with you but to a certain extent. Someone who carries a gun but isnt legally authorized to do so or doesn't usually carry but carries while ue'ing would make me uncomfortable. I personally concealed carry legally EVERY day along with TONS of other Americans. And you would never know any of them were carrying if you saw em walking down the street. But most of those people (all of the ones I know) know that even though you have a gun on you that is an absolute LAST resort.
If you get into a fist fight with somebody you toss the gun to someone who will secure it. Somebody pulls a knife and starts walking towards you and your trapped... somebody pulls a gun on you or your life is in eminent danger with no other way of solving the conflict... those are game changers and therefore constitute a pure need for that concealed handgun. But as far as beating a bum, pothead, or crackhead just because they're trespassing in the same place you are and they are in some way intimidating you, not cool.

That said, I'm terribly proud to be a Canadian right now!! Even if I do run into "less than desirables" when I'm out, the odds are dramatically against me getting shot, and that makes me feel good! There are exceptions to every rule and there's some handguns making Canadian streets these days, but I can't say I have ever even laid eyes on a real one. Might sounds crazy to lots of Americans, but the reality is that if someone picks a fight the chances are fairly good that it's going to involve fists, and occasionally a knife. I love Canada for so many reasons, and the lack of guns on our streets (and our abandonments!) is one of them...
On the other side of a very real question... smile... talk... see how it goes... leave... and carry something that wouldn't normally be taken as a weapon, like mini aerosol hair-spray and a lighter... oh, pepper spray isn't legal in Canada either!!!

Metal scrappers have always been running form me.
Other explorers are just annoying.
Kids... well I locked them into the location once, so they either got out anyway or there is now a couple of dead bodies in Le Hasard...
Other than that, never really ran into people other than those with more reasons to be there than me (i.e. personnel, guards), just smile, listen, nod, say you're sorry and will leave now (and do so), which I have gotten away with all the times.
even once been caught by the police WHILE performing a break&enter - a real red-handed (we were foreigners, at least half the party looked like a bum with a lot of cameras (that includes me, Siologen and I think KleineAap too)) and we were let go...

Trespassing is a misdemeanor... Trespassing while armed, regardless of license to carry, is a felony here in PA. So I'd look up local laws, if I were you.
