|  | | | One late night six trespassers got into underground railway control center. All there is working. Control relays is ticking, diesel generator is regularly tested (when we came it was still warm). Storeroom was full of old and historic railway equipment.All hermetic doors were lubricated so object is fully ready for working even in case of war.

I was in Latvia in 2006. Visited Riga, Kuldīga, Aizpute, and Liepāja. We stayed in Aizpute and though I was not into UE then, I remember seeing all the abandoned buildings. We are hoping to go back to Aizpute and Kuldīga this summer.

Thanks for good words! 
About gasmasks and another stuff. Yes, there is some interesting things "saved". Gas masks, oxygen regeneration systems, chemical protection wear (i'll tell more about them later), civil guard posters, some techno stuff is saved for future. Yeah, i know it's against the ethics of UE but for example in Latvia is much places whose will be destroyed soon. Or is free accessible to everyone. To save these unique things we already have a little collection of them.
There will be one old story.
Pictures is about one year old. As i know it's main control point of latvian railroad in case of war. Its in centre of Riga (capital of Latvia) but now its seriously closed. Inside there is not only gate cameras with two hermetic doors but also about 40cm thick arc shaped armour doors.
By the way i think soon there will be two new stories about objects we visited last friday. From third object - one of biggest bomb shelters in Latvia we got to run away with heavy crowbars and boltcutters unused in our backpacks because unexpectedly security guard somehow noticed us in territory of factory.
