damnit, I should have taken a picture... earlier I had all of my draining gear layed out on my bed running over everything. Next time...

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

Respirator/gas mask
Camera
Gloves (1 leather, 1 latex)
Knife
Flashlight (with extra batteries)
Whistle
Cell phone
Walkie Talkie
Bottle of water
Snacks
Geiger Counter (if you are going into any areas that are potentially contaminated)

If it was on public land and unrestricted I would say carry a firearm.

If it is private property, DO NOT TRAVEL ARMED.

Camping/out in the boonies: nothing beats an AR or AK for shooting at cans and targets.

Day trip/urban: nothing beats a M1911A1 or Glock for defense against an attacker. Make sure you have a permit if carrying concealed.

All I've ever needed was running shoes and a flashlight. Anything else is just unnecessary baggage.

Add camera and Tripod and another explorer to that for me and I am done.
Thank god Musket drives a truck, sounds like he has to plan 4 days in advance for a 2 hour explore ;)

I like having steel-toed boots, as well as my camel-back backpack with me at all times. Along with my GPS, flashlights, several (very large) first aid kits (I am accident prone as fuck >.< I've almost died three times now U.Eing), my I.D., money, duck tape, camera equipment, video camera, more flashlights, and something with caffeine, and face masks where I think they are needed. There are lots of other things I would like to carry with me, but being able to move around and not be bogged down by a bunch of equipment can also be very key to not getting hurt, or, for me anyway.

gilly suit

I wonder if we could fashion an urban gillie, take exploring to the next level. Instead of leaves and the like we could put trash, broken glass, soiled pornos, dust and transient feces on the suit. That way if you get busted you could just roll up into a ball in plain sight and wait for the cops to leave.

Might be a bit much, but looks awesome and would be perfect for pulling off boards while preserving them well.

Oh! Now I understand why DJMalign looks the way he does. Genius!

mutantMandias may cause dizziness, sexual nightmares, and sleep crime. ++++ mutantMandias has to return some videotapes ++++ Do not taunt mutantMandias

mutantMandias is something more than human, more than a computer. mutantMandias is a murderously intelligent, sensually self-programmed, non-being

I was thinking about buying one when Wal-mart had them on sale for 25$ clearance... I just couldn't think of a legitimate excuse why I would be carrying one should I be stopped by a cop...
