| | URL syntax change? < on 1/30/2004 4:12 AM >
| | | I just tried posting a message with a link having a title, to wit: Groklaw and it doesn't seem to work anymore. This used to work fine. As typed, the "url=" has only been entered once, and there is only one closing tag. Using parentheses instead of brackets in order to illustrate, what I entered was: (url=http://groklaw.net/)Groklaw(/url) Looking at it in Preview, it seems to be trying to automatically putting in a link in what isn't supposed to be a URL tag... | | | [[url=url=http://groklaw.net/]url=http://groklaw.net/[/url]]Groklaw[/url] you type url= twice in the first part. Maybe that did it. I don't quite have time to error-check. PM av, see what he says. [EDIT: The system auto adds a url tag. I've noticed this when typing out url's before, 'twas imperative that I added the url tags. but now, the system auto-adds them. | | | I also had difficulty hotlinking an image this morning. It hiccuped and gave me a weird URL. I know the tags were right. Could this be related? test:
see? code is as follows: www.google.com
hmm. code tags and pre tags don't override it. this is odd. [last edit 1/30/2004 2:20 PM by Avatar-X - edited 1 times]
