That would have to be the thigh master or its predecessor the " Butt and Thigh Master ". Come on you know Suzanne Summers.. Her commercials were all I needed as a pre-teen if you know what I mean. Lol

while climbing stuff I noticed I had trouble pulling myself up a touch..

SO while at the gym I now make sure I use the weights for real life situations as well as body toning stuff

I can now pull myself up a lot better and my climbing skills have improved a lot
I dont need my feet as much to lift myself up.. I can do it with just my arms for the most part..

that and the treadmill

if you can find a rock wall, hit it every now and again. does wonders for your upper body strength.

do you know how to waltz?

I was thinking that today actually..

I was also thinking parallel bars would be awesome and really enable me some serious control

but what I do is the pull down bars.. but instead of to my upper chest I do it in the same movement as I pull my body up a wall so that my hands end up at my waist..

I hop walls now where I needed Rick Astley to help me.. He never let me down, thats for sure

true story ;)

Max12 . . . . . come on!

I don't think physical fitness is optional, I KNOW it's essential. Urban Exploring inherently involves being in places where one doesn't belong, hence the strong need for physical fitness. I have personally been chased by figures of authority on more than a handful of instances, and in each one of these instances, was able to out run or evade capture. I've found myself in train tunnels with a train, and quick feet are never a bad thing to have. I've found myself on the side of cliffs, with rocks crumbling underfoot, and relied on my coordination and strength to stay safe in an inherently unsafe situation.

I feel its sort of like everyone having all of their equipment to be 'prepared'. I stay 'prepared' by being physically fit.

totally agree! i also think it is important because if you are in buildings you want to be prepared if the stairs are going to collapse or something is going to come down on you.. plus if your not in shape and say.. overweight its harder to get into places.. i went to this one places where all but one of us was in good shape and slim and since the place was gated we were all able to squeeze through it except one of us which had to attempt to jump the fence..

personally to keep in shape i basically walk everywhere i can and always stay on my feet..also eating healthy and feeling good is always key

I go climbing twice a week and have no wheels so I walk everywhere. I eat shit food and do fuck all other than that but seem to cope better than 90% of the explorers I've met.

i recently got a total gym , so i am going to be as buff as chuck norris soon

and i have been wanting to work on parkour for a long at, but i build like a tyrannosaurus(small week arms and thighs of fliping steel)

If you are talking about doing a pull-up and transitioning into a dip (a muscle-up)

then I commend you on your strength. I can't do them symmetrically, only one arm then the other.

I train parkour and run a lot.

if you can find a rock wall, hit it every now and again.

That might hurt after a while.

I weight train three days a week, and perform a half an hour of cardio 2-3 times per week. I could certainly use better climbing skills, but my current ability has been adequate for what I've done so far. I'd also like to learn parkour, just for the heck of it.

no.. those are awesome though and would be good along with parallel bars

no the ones I am talking about you sit and pull a bar down towards your chest.. the bar has a wire that connects to weights after going though a pulley..

I don't stop at the chest but keep going to my lap where if I was climbing it would enough to get my leg up and climb whatever it is i'm trying to get up

What the heck? Uh, I didn't chose the graphic that's showing up. It was just my luck that that particular page apparently got hacked. I'm e-mailing the webmasters right now.
