|  | | | I have a location that is probably already in the database but it is invisible to me because I am not a full member.
In the off chance that it is not in the database, is there any way for me to submit the location anyway? I will gladly submit it through someone else if I am given instructions on how to do it.
I just don't want to post it on these public forums because cops, vandals, scrappers, etc. would be able to find it.

| | | | You can submit it through a full member. The first step would be to PM a full member, find out if it's already in the DB. If the location exists in the DB, then they can add your photos to the existing entry and if you wish, your story. Otherwise they'd need all the info about the site to add it to the DB (location, pictures, history, media links, etc).

Great. First of all, calm down, and realize that the following is possibly true:
# Your location might already be in the LDB (but hidden from you)
# You may just not be ready to post in the LDB.
As a basic member, your best course of action is to start a properly-titled thread in your regional section (ie, South) and post a few photos (5-8) and a well-written story there. You will get much more recognition and your full membership will arrive that much faster.
Don't ask someone else to post your photos for you. You won't get credit for them, and it really breaks the whole community aspect we've got going on here.

It seems that it's more about asking for members account SO i can post a great location, I'm just offering up a location for the database.
Anyway I got a pm from someone so I will give him the information, and find out if it is in the database already.

But it was my first real UE experience and we didn't bring cameras... All we have is cell phone pictures.
I plan to go back with a real camera though, and get some good pictures.

There is a point in that..... Especially if it's an already known site and all you've got is cell pictures... I'd post in your regional, but perhaps don't use the real site name.

Well it's not in the database according to a member I spoke to.
But I don't suppose it's a problem waiting.
Once I become a full member I guess I will submit it at that point.

Wow it's not in the DB?! Sounds like a way cool site to not be in the DB, but there are areas that are less active with posting in the Db, so what do I know? But might as well start working on getting FM, post a story, pictures, etc. in your regional board, start getting known by the local explorers and FM's. Hell organize a local meet and greet! I notice you've been a member for a year with less than 10 posts, might as well start getting noticed..

Most of the best locations I know aren't in the DB, and I hope it stays that way. People put far too much value in the DB.
