Explore. (it is a verb)

Alternatively, post this question on an Internet forum!

But seriously, your regional board is your friend too! It contains a wealth of information. I know it's scary at first, but just start exploring, soon it will become second nature...

Go for a drive. Take routes you don't normally travel on.

Use your eyes! Just by paying slightly more attention to my surroundings on a weekly drive to the local shooting range I discovered 2 abandoned houses.

you'd be pretty amazed how many abandoned places you would drive by on a daily basis, but never noticed until you started urban exploration.

i found one the other day, on my normal route home, that i hadn't noticed before and i have even been paying much more attention to abandoned structures for the last couple months. [granted, this location ended up being across the street from a police station] but i noticed it nonetheless.

keep your eyes peeled. use UER a lot and like 'insainly sound' said, do some reverse research. make friends on here, start trading locations [once you find 1 or 2 yourself] and explore with others. it will open you up to a whole new database of locations.

go to flickr and type key words like " abandoned building" and "Ontario". this will show you lots of stuff. and most of these idiots put actual locations.

this helps rid the buildings of copper.

Just go for a random drive. Some places may pop out of nowhere and be very rewarding.

sometimes independant or low budget films use some pretty interesting points of interest as they don't have the budget to build sets. me and my friends found the storm drains used in the movie Brick and had a good time getting to them and going through them. use your imagination first, but then if that doesn't work try someone else's.

There can be only one!
