I'm NO photographer by any means, but I personally like the black and white one. I'm usually all about 'the colours' as opposed to b and w's,but to me,yours looks great.

And yeah,any interiors?

by first look the only way in is through a hole in the side of the second story using the collapsing roof of the back, not holding up much hope for inside but as usually i have to try

It's very flat. I would play with the curves in photoshop a bit. That and the highlights are blown out.

I have a little tip for ya. I was going to do a few quick adjustments in Photoshop for ya and noticed you had the photo in grey scale. There is a whole lot more to black and white then desaturating it or turning it to greyscale mode. Google a few techniques. Use a gradient map and then curve adjustments to start.

I think I like the BW better for this particular subject...how do you do BW? do you do it in-camera, desaturate it, or do it through the RGB channels/monochrome? I find that the last gives you the most control in terms of creating a great BW images.

In camera black and white modes tend to make the picture very flat. The best way to get a black and white photo is to take it in color, then do a conversion. Look up "black and white conversion" on google, I'm sure you'll find some good tutorials.
