Comments and critique are welcome.

These were taken in the well known Blue Ghost Tunnel, in Thorold, Ontario, Canada.
I bought 40 tealights and set them up along the ledge of the tunnel. And here are the results.

I really dig the color shot. The Tea lights are really creative.

40+ year olds with Myspace pages are not cool, they are pediphiles on the prowl. Buyer beware.

I like, though I might have actually gone for fewer lights for a little more dramatic lighting...the light on the left wall is kind of uniform.

I'm absolutely loving the unique lighting approach. I agree with u25680, the color shot blows me away. the black and white version doesn't show off the richness in texture that is available in the color one. Very well done.

I feel like you made an almost prefectly spaced line of those tealights, and it feel like one is missing from the far right. Perhaps if you cropped in even slightly on the righthand side it wouldn't feel incomplete.

I hear ya...Infact I had the lights a lot closer together originally because of that reason. Next time I will just go with half and further spaced.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like, I prefer the colour one as well! And a crop might be in order.

I can see where the tree slice image you saw came from. Glad you liked thanks!

Just to give you an idea of how dark that tunnel is even with the tea lights. Here is a shot from the same day and practically the same angle with a regular point and shoot.

Got some orbs in this shot. I guess they might really be ghost tunnels after all.

Edit - Shit, I just realized this place is in Niagara Falls. Yet another place I didnt get to see there.

Damn all those tourist traps!

It's not in Niagara Falls. You are confusing this Tunnel with the Screaming Tunnel. The Screaming Tunnel is basically a crappy drainage tunnel in Niagara Falls, that is about 10 meters long. Nothing to it. Very boring and stupid rumours. The tunnel I posted is the Grand Trunk Railway Tunnel, in Thorold, ON.
AKA the Blue Ghost Tunnel. Which is about 775 Feet long. Way more remote. Blah blah blah.

THIS is the screaming tunnel, as you can see, not much to it!

I like the way you used those lights for the effect, creative. I'll have to try that someday with the right location. Very nice pictures.

LOL @ tunnel fight. Impressive photos, the color one works better for me. Sometimes folks do b/w for no reason it appears. Look at the "Just watch" thread, the b/w works great there for the picture of the bottles. Other than that, it's gratuitous.

You betcha

Thanks,
Yeah the black and white was just something I tossed in, I agree it didn't work out the way I wanted it to, the colour really does take over.
