A lost farmer.......

Took these yesterday at an old farm house. The house was thrashed, and like a dumbass I forgot my tripod AND memory card. Sadly to say, these were the best out of the 25 my little point and shoot could save.

Gorgeous shots! I only have a critique for one of them, the first one, I think that the crop could have been pulled up a bit more, theres too much open space down on the bottom, and the little blue thing next to the bottles is a bit distracting, other than that all of them are marvelous!

Thank you. That blue thing is actually a reflection off a broken bottle. I don't know why it was doing that, but the light that was coming through the open basement door reflected that color off the broken glass. Quite strange.

And to anyone else: please be brutal. I won't improve unless someone points out my flaws.

Thanks guys. I can take harsh criticism though ;)

I'm not really sure how much memory my camera has, but I know I took 26 pictures, each at 2592x1944 pixels. All were JPEG. I'll look it up later. I plan on going back sometime soon with my damn memory card and tripod, and maybe take some better ones. It's the best I got though before I get a D50.

Ok, you asked for it..........

just kidding.

Overall, very nice work.

#5 could use a little bit of upper frame cropping
#6 i dont know what to focus on, the upright items or the white thing. try a different angle.
#1 maybe try to stretch some of the frame sideways to show more wall on either one of the sides and a bit more frame is needed up top

again, very nice work. try using black and white too. and play with the light

oh and remember the rule of thirds. id doesnt always apply, but it works most of the time

Thanks. I'm still trying to teach my self some nice processing techniques that I like, so I haven't really dabbled with B&W conversions yet. I figure if I try to learn too much to quickly everything will suffer. Thank you though.

I was pissed they didn't have forgotten in the dictionary, but I worked with what I had ;) As soon as I saw it on the ground I was like O!!!!! But then I realized that the English language a few years ago must have been very rudimentary

With the number of shots you took, at that resolution...I'd say your camera has at least 32mb's.
