Okay, last post I was very happy with. You guys actually had opinions and good points! I hope to see the same for these 3 pictures. eeerrmmm, I mean four!

1.

2.

3.

4.

I have been trying to take more exterior shots. I Know it's a major weakness of mine. I have also been taking a lot of shots that i really should be using a wide angle lense for, but i no longer have one due to the crop factor....dun dun DUUUN

oh well, my next purchase will be a brand spankin new wide angle lense.

1 - the supports get in the way of the shot, try putting your lens through the frame work. It distracts the focus.

2 - crop out the person

3 - I like it, but put the background a little more out of focus, open the aperture a little.

4 - It's okay, nothing spectacular.

I think the person in the shot makes it a cool portrait shot. maybe next time nudge the camera over to the right just a bit more. I like it with him to the side, but he needs to be a bit more in the shot.

That could work to. The focus needs to be clear on what's being shot, the building or the person.

A closer shot of the name plate in #2 would be kinda cool. Old steel Co name plates are always cool to see.

40+ year olds with Myspace pages are not cool, they are pediphiles on the prowl. Buyer beware.

I actually quite like number 4 - it's got interesting lines, shadows and colours.

Is the picture of the train have an out of focus background because it was a moving shot?

[15:00:33] <SeeThirty> cause you're not likely to be anywhere that other people haven't been who didn't have protection

looked up the foundry company and they changed their name in 1920 to something else, so i'm guessing the place is pre 1920. and yeah the train was moving. i snapped a shot as it went by while we were walking the tracks to get to some other factories.
