| | | Heres a tip Act professional Don't be a dick head If it's a cop just be honest to them if they ask for your name and information give it *BTW I am a teen also and got in trouble with the cops, non UE related, and he just told me never to ride on the street again, you'll probably get a slap on the wrist" [last edit 10/3/2007 11:39 PM by NextelCupMK - edited 1 times]

| | | Posted by UEdude56 Do you think the cops will be less strict on me, then a adult? I am 15 btw
|
Just carry a camera with you, don't break anything, don't have drugs on you, don't act like a thug, be nice to the cop if and when he finds you, and tell him you're just taking pics. You'll be fine, As for whether he/she will be tougher with you in comparison to an adult. I guess that all depends on what kind of day he/she has had, and their impression of you.

| | | i have a special way of dealing with adults that really has an effect on how they think of you. it's just a natural talent for me, plus enhanced by books like "How to win friends and influence people." I can probably elaborate on it more if you want, but it's kind of just one of those "things," you know?

| | | I don't think it was fair that just because you are 15 that someone has deemed you a vandal. If I am repeating something others have posted, forgive me, I just didn't feel like reading through the radom Leet Speak photos. Whether you are 15 or 50, lurking around an abandoned building is going to make you look suspecious. Suggestions would be. Don't carry anything with you that may be considered, Burglary tools, ie. Crowbar, screwdrivers, etc... Even a flashlight could be considered the latter, but if all you have is a light and a camera that is a lot eaiser to explain. I noticed that someone did ask location as well, I know that where I am in Ontario Canada, I get VERY little slack, I have been stopped by 2 cops and a security guard, and been let off with nothing each time. One cop was even interested in what I was doing and I showed him pictures. I think as long as you are smart, well spoken and you DO NOT RUN, you will have a lot better time. Usually if you have not broken in and just entered the building the worst you will get is a trespassing charged and they will take your film of digital media card. ALWAYS carry a second crappy media card with just a couple exterior shots on it. As soon as you see a cop or walk out, swap the card. It could save you in 2 ways. 1, if the cop never saw you IN the building show him that the pics were just exteriors, second if he did see you in there and he takes the card, you don't loose all the pics you took just the crappy card with the few pics on it. Hope that helps.

Please tell me all the spelling errors you just made in your post were actually done on purpose, to prove a point ?

They are there on purpose for a reason, but not to prove a point. Could help me prove one in the future though.
