i know a couple of cops, and trust me, they have more important things to worry about ESPECIALLY in a city. its a different story out in the boondocks however.

The same reason cops search through myspace for pics/stories of illegal activity. It's a lot harder to search for hidden evidence. Why not go places where people are willingly admitting to crimes?

Because they get commissioned/ordered/payed too.
Not cops though unless they are investigating or interested in a specific area, individual, or incidents.
Even then, it's rather seldom.
Cops are busy as hell, and if they come here looking for something, they got a reason.
Some cops explore too and post here at more risk then most people here.
Some people here at UER don't know who or what to be paranoid about.
You'll never even know they are there...
and remember with more than one super computer online, real time acquisition of all your internet traffic is easy.
Just send whatever they're looking for, and it's a done deal.
If only I was as well cloaked and plugged in. *sigh*
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
