Ok, heres my pic of the day. This wasn't taken in Texas, but I want some opinions here. I have always been able to explain to myself anything that showed up in a picture, that other people would call a ghost. You know, the typical dust particle in the flash that becomes a ghost story.

But this showed up in a picture that I took yesterday in a ghost town (a real one, not one that is commercialized). My son was taking his own picture of this heater, and I took a picture of him doing that.

This "thing" showed up in the picture. I didn't even notice it until we were looking at the shots back at the hotel. It was taken with a digital camera, and honestly, I believe there's an explanation, but I can't put my fingers on it. Anyone care to tell me what this is?

It's most likely a reflection off that shiny table. I don't know if there's a window behind you, but that could also be it, I lived in an old house once and the window glass was all hand made, it made reflections like that on the walls when the sun hit it just right.

There wasn't a window behind me, the only one was the window in front of my son. I'm trying to figure out how it could be a reflection, because thats the most logical explanation to me, but it wasn't reflected on the wall. I never saw it, and it doesn't show up in any of the other pictures, and all the pics in that room were taken within a matter of probably 3 minutes, so there wouldn't be much time for light to change. I just don't know. That's why I'm looking for speculations from anyone.

the reflection could have been made by the flash reflecting off the table, that would explain why you didn't see it, but if you look close you can see that it bends around the corner of the wall, indicating that it is on the wall and not in mid air. what was the table made of?

I know! I thought it would have been right in the middle of paris or something...nope. I drove around asking residents where this stupid thing was, and they couldn't tell me. Its off a side road kinda close to the college if i recall correctly....

AHhh... We were about a block from that college and asked some guy in a gas station. He had NO idea what we were talking about. In fact, he said, "huh huh... wrong Paris!"

Not much history to it I am afraid

I had just gotten done casing a joint, and I decided to go check out the railroad tracks nearby and took a picture of them with my Holga. Then all of the sudden as I was getting in my truck, out of the nowhere, The Tarantula comes puffing by, so I took another shot without winding the film.
