For some real fun, Stop by the Creationist Museum just before the park and meet Dr Carl Baugh. I had to buy a copy of his book for him to sign. I love wacko's.

AHHHHHH you lucky bastard!!!!! I went to the park once with my girlfriend and the dogs....it was sunday so the museum was closed. Then I passed through there another time on my way back from a motorcycle trip.... closed again!!!! How nutty is it?!?!?! as long as you keep yourself in check, wacko's are great to "talk" with...

| | | Posted by Marost I've posted this pic in the past on this forum (in another post)...but I really like it for some reason...so here it is again The trinity river/levees are a really special place for me and I've spent a lot of time playing down there. Its one of the few places IN the city where you can just chill and its only you down there surrounded by nature <--assuming your not near a bridge containing a homeless encampment. It's also a great place to tear-ass around on a dirtbike!
|
i use to take my old bronco out there and tear ass.... i miss dallas

Well.... he says that the "firmament..." spoken of in the Bible actually refers to a four foot thick layer of super compressed fiber optic/ super conductive ice that surrounded the Earth in space, compressing the atmosphere and availing only pink light to penetrate. That made plants and animals grow to huge size, wounds healed over night and men could run a hundred miles at a time without tiring. Also, the reason women outlived men is because they like pink. He even had pink glasses made to increase his longevity. I always wanted to do a book of roadside crackpots. [last edit 9/19/2007 3:53 AM by Barry Kooda - edited 1 times]

There is a book called Weird Texas. It shows like unusual places like Cadillac Ranch outside Amarillo and Austin's bat cave. There are also other Weird states like Florida and New York. I've read the Texas one, it's pretty good, but I think there's probably much more stuff out there.
I figured out what's wrong with life: It's other people. |
