Does anyone know of any movies that are about UEing... Not home made videos, I mean videos that were out in threaters, or blockbuster and such. Or movies with a UE feel to theme

but one that i just feel like reemphasizing is Enemy at the Gates. its about a russian sniper at the battle of stalingrad. its got some beautiful shots of old buildings. plus all the action to go along with it. and its a great movie overall.

A movie called After was about some Russian urbexers. It was a bit of a horror as I understand it. I want to see it, but it's not easy to find.

It seemed like a good idea at the time...

Looks pretty good. I thought it was going to be a documentary or something... that might have made it look a little cooler. I'm gonna to look for it online now... lol.

Spooked is about Waverly Hills. It is more about the evidence of hauntings there, rather then ue'ing it, but it was great overall. Lots of excellent footage of the place, and interviews with former patients and employees.

That was a good movie. It took you through each floor and looked at everything there. I liked it a lot

I own this movie and in the special features they said they made that entire set. None of the buildings you see are real but are based off how stalingrad actually looked in 1942. But you are right it is an awesome movie.

Session 9 is actually the movie that "re-motivated" me to start UE again. I was disgusted to find out that they demolished the building.

it's not alright. it's awful!! Horribly awful!! Of course, if you're watching it to laugh at it that's fine.

And Waverly hills IS beautiful.

It's a tragedy.
It's exactly like a greek tragedy.
We should only be Greeks.

Wavelength is a pretty good movie with some pre-UE scenes. Hard to find, but worth finding.

More like laugh at the fact that nobody else mentioned the movie that probably got half of us into UE...

Seriously though, who hasn't been on a mission and had somebody say "this is just like the Goonies!"

I feel shame that I've never seen the Goonies. Death Tunnel was an awful movie, so I just started ignoring the plot and watching the location only.

There's no shame in not having seen a major Hollywood blockbuster that was pumped down the throats of every kid growing up in the 80's. It just means that you have to go rent it now (or add it to your queue if that's what you do). It's kind of one of those movies that becomes part of a generation's identity so it's probably worth seeing at some point.

Hell, there's really only two words that need to be said to get you to see it:

Pirates' Booty.

There's a documentary about UE in production or rather editing right now:
http://www.urbanexplorersfilm.com/ I've communicated w/the director, she was very responsive, seems like a nice person. I wouldn't pimp it if I didn't feel her heart was in the right place. I think it is.

You betcha

I had no ideea what this "Goonies" movie was about until searched for it.

It was pumped down my throat as well! lol I even had a book of The Goonies haha. Good memories about that movie although I was probably very very little when I saw it (I couldn't have been older than 7).
Now I know why I do this! Damn you Spielberg!

Anyway:

There are also some movies of Jackie Chan that involve exploration from what I can remember from my childhood days: there is one where he finds an abandoned underground hangar - Operation Condor I think?
Does Mowgli from Jungle Book count? He did go to that abandoned city where monkeys ruled.;)

On avance toujours...
