Where I live, there's a parkway and there's a hidden path that leads off into the woods. There is no road but a grassy trail. A stop sign faces towards the trail, as if there was once a road to drive on and it warned you that you are approaching the parkway. I later learned that the road in question is owned by the NY State Water supply.
It's not fantastically done, but I love the colors that the shot created.

| | | | It's a great concept, but obviously I would have loved to see better quality, as well as a much more sharp, crisp stop sign. You might want to also look into some basic rules of composition as well, as centering your subject is certainly not always best!

| | | | The next chance I get I'll definitely try to score a better shot. Even I know it's not that great. I just found the light in it interesting. I'll try to get a shot of the trail too. It's a little hard since its RIGHT off the parkway. I don't want to get run over. I can only get night shots because the traffic is too heavy and it's right after a major turn so people wouldn't be able to stop in time.
Please dont think these are the only pictures I take, I can take very good photos, I even admit this isn't a good one, just something about the light fascinates me. I appreciate your criticisms and I'll definitely take it into account when I get the next chance to photograph it.

i really don't see how anyone could find this photo interesting, it doesn't have anything going for it other than being a poorly shot / composed / whatever else shot of a stop sign. is the "one way" sign supposed to add some element of intrigue? looks like any other corner of anytown usa with a one way street. sorry!
