Thanks. Yeah, most of the crew is begging to do another season, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

In the meantime, I would definately do a UE project, hopefully something will get off the ground soon.

Well if you can get unglued to your computer and get your butt down here maybe we can work somethin out ;) hehe. Glad to hear that there is support for a return of Fear though. Would be nice to have something that was original back on the air for once.

And... I'm sure that we can -ALL- play up the fear of unknown places, sine we're just a bit on the fringe of society... that doesn't mean we run around in crazy old haunted abandoned places...

^_^
So you could tell the recruitment people that you know exactly who to have for the new season! Score! A UE episode of FEAR =P

Lol, ok, cool, vacant is a good look for television. Now, you can obviously type, so we need to lower some IQ points...

Seriously, like most networks, MTV has a formula for casting. It usually involves an all American boy and girl next door, someone gender-nonspecific, someone ethnic, prefereably a boy and a girl, and someone with an attitude to shake things up.

waht yu mean i cannt' tiep good at all i justpres keys.

^_^

I don't know exactly where I'd fall in that. I'm not really ethnic, since my ethnicity is downplayed on the surface... not really the all-american guy, since they all play football and stuff... and I'm usually too nice of a guy to have an attitude =P

Maybe they'll accept a geek who's usually polite but can swear like a sailor and crack jokes about just about everything?

That's just scary. I don't think she meant for you to digress that far. However, that is an interestinf formula for why the show worked though. I wonder if it's something that would be considered for future UE projects by other networks and the like.

Hmmmm I wonder what role in that I would fit into...::ponders::

While this does seem to have digressed into something about Fear and not just TV in general. Fear was the closest thing that was in the mainstream as far as UE went. I mean figuring out what exactly made it work and what possibly might be the outcome of future mainstream media ventures involving UE and television is relevant I think.

If anyone thinks otherwise please feel free to comment upon where my logic has gone completely awry after 40hours of no sleep.

I think that's a pretty good assessment of it all.

That and the fact that, at 3am, we're the only ones up talking, so we just kinda ramble on about everything.

BUT! That's beside the point. The fact that we've got someone who was directly involved with the show here to ask questions of can help us in figuring out exactly what would need to be done to put something ot his sort into action - or to do damage control if someone does something like it but skews it horribly wrong.

Personally, I think it'd be hilarious if, in addition to those (or possibly replacing the attitude guy) they had a true die-hard UEr like some of us here... they'd just calmly go do their missions, come back, meanwhile everyone else is freaking out, throwing up, leaving, whatever... and they'd just sit in the corner going "Oh my god, I cannot believe what a bunch of spineless fruits you all are." I'd laugh.

Bah, probably not going to happen for the same reason that they didn't take an ex-special forces friend of mine to be on Survivor... he'd coast through and make everyone else look like idiots.

But, y'know... if you've got any sort of acting experience, you can put on the facade of a total smacktard, and play their game.

and -THEN- when you get there, you can be all calm and cool about it - if you're able to use the computer during the days or whatnot, just cruise around uer and auchlike, see what the other people say =P

It would be like putting a tiger in a room full of sheep. The UE guy/girl would make them all look stupid. That said, if there was some easy money on the table, I'd be more than happy to lend my services.

One night I was taking some n00bs out to a Titan base we had visited a couple of times - some of the guys I had gone with before knew we were going out and they were planning on doing a "Scare Tactics" on us - then remembered who they were dealing with and decided they didn't want to be broken into little pieces.

I don't think I'd make good TV - I don't get scared - I get violent.
