As always, your photos are stunning. Do you recall what shutter speed you used to get the motion in the clouds for photos 4 and 8? It's a beautiful effect.

Simply amazing that the crowns are still on the coffins.

These look like they were taken by eight different photographers. You should try tightening things up a little bit so that things don't seem so random. Pick a style and stick with it or else it just looks like you're just grasping at straws.

1. Nice. I would've shifted things over to the left a little though. Could also be cropped a bit tighter.

2. Was this one taken at the same location because honestly it looks like it could have been taken anywhere.

3. Probably the strongest one in the set. The DOF looks kinda fake though for some reason. The tilt works alright here, but please don't start going overboard with it. See Mortimer's comments for more details.

4. I can't tell if it looks that way because it's supposed to or because my eyes are bleeding.

5. Good, but could use a lot more space on the left. Try taking some off the right side to help correct this. Think rule o' thirds.

6. There are two pictures that all amateur photographers take when they first start out: the one with the discarded pop can, and this one.

7. Nice lines but lacks focus.

8. Better than 6, but ruined by the cheesy time-lapse effect. Also needs a bit taken off the top.

Awesome as always. 1 and 4 are really cool, and 7 is just insane. I think 7 is the best odd-angle one by far. The composition on that one just works perfectly.

Thanks for the feedback! All the shots were taken at different locations, so the set isn't very unified to begin with, but I want to break out of the classic shots like #2 so yes they are differently styled.

I fail to see how #6 is cliche though. Sure it looks like I shot it out of a car window or something (ha!) but the use of the jet line and building to create an off center focal point and the negative space isn't something I've noticed from new photographers. Perhaps I'm missing something?

It just reminds me of that cliche shot where the camera's tilted, the corner of a building's tucked away at the bottom of the frame with lots of sky above it. True, the contrail does make it a bit different, but it to be more distracting than anything.

Don't mind me though. I just tend to make a more as-is approach to photography. My attitude is that if you can't make something look interesting using conventional angles then you probably shouldn't bother taking a picture of it in the first place.

In the first shot the tilted angle doesn't really work that well IMO, but in the shot with piano in the church the angle actually brings the focus to the instrument, so it really works there. All of them are nice shots though.

Although I usually prefer level horizons, I think the tilted frames here are quite effective in forcing the eye to look at a scene in a new way. To me, 3. 4 and 7 work very well as tilted frames.

The sheer fact that number 1 was in a location untouched....and unlooted is amazing enough.

Gotta say that my favorites are Hellingly and Barnes (last 2 for you non UK folk ;))

Been to Hellingly sooooo many times yet never thought about taking a shot from that angle.

Number 8 I love the most..... maybe because its just such an awesome structure But you have really captured it beautifully
