bh- One Q at a time, please.
me- i wasn't asking any Q's.

bh- they can lock you up till your IDed. Right?
me- i give them no reason to take me in, because unlike you, real cops have better things to do than waste my time.

bh- They can find ways to make life unpleasant, right then, and maybe some for a little latter.
me- police don't make life unpleasant. life is unpleasant when i go to a place with hopes of learning from others and instead having to deal with you.

bh- More charges if possible, maybe a psych eval.
me- why are you so caustic? what does this accomplish?

bh- If you prefer subhuman treatment then by all means feel free to think of them as faceless gears in the machine.
me- am i the only one here that finds subhuman treatment slightly out of style? especially for a belief? i don't want to be treated at all by cops, judges, mailmen, or the guy reading a newspaper beside me. i want to be left alone. why the fuck do you think i live on a damn rooftop? that's right, you think i need a 'psych eval'. i came to this forum to learn, not hear words i could pick up in casual conversation with the the guy reading a newspaper beside me.

bh- There's no point to breaking a good man's face.
me- what do you mean?

bh- It's even more foolish when your shit is weak.
me- that is to say you think structure camping is 'weak shit'? instead of blurting childish retorts, make this worth my time. what is 'weak' about ditching a life you don't agree with and trying to find something new?

bh- Yes, it's true, there are cops, etc. who are good people, and will treat you well. If you give them a hard way to go, they will return the favor.
me- since you brought it up... i think since a cop acts with power of the state, it's not the cop who detains, but rather the state acting thru the cop. officer joe is doing his job. joe is the guy who goes back to his family when the day is done. that's all.

again, what's with the "weak shit"? am i coming off as arrogant or an anarchist hippy deadbeat? i'm here to learn and am grateful for those who respect that.

bh- As for lightning you may have more to learn than you have imagined, no offense intended.
me- none taken, you sarcastic prick. why would i have to learn more about lightning after your enlightening pontification. is there a quiz after you've wasted my time? i do what i do. why do you care if i fry on some rooftop? the headlines will read "kid dies on rooftop in lightning storm" and no one will give a shit. it won't mar the name of ue and you can go about living life in peace and harmony, taking the respite to harass a "basic member" on this forum who wants to try something different.

Tc, one at a time, I get tired of your whine.

It's a lick on you that you don't know how things work. Enjoy.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Its a nice feeling to sleep on a rooftop or other large struture. As it was mentioned before, be weary of weather and pidgeons.

Actually it always seemed like a good idea too. Think about, Your 15 year old, your parents are being mean and you run away from home. Policia are looking everywhere for you and hobos are looking for fresh meat. (not to imply all hobos do) Sleeping on the rooftop of someplace is possibly the safest place you can sleep.

Parks are dangerous at night...to sleep in

I sleep in abandoned spots all the time, especially when im travelling. It's funner and cheaper than a hotel. I especially like staying at abandoned resorts in the catskills, its rather funny to spend the night in an abandoned hotel. I spent a febuary weekend in a new england asylum, two sleeping bag but it was still sooo cold

5'1" and not afraid to use it...

catskills, february england? impressive. i floated about vermont during the thick of winter once... that was enuf to turn me off of the cold. blizzards are not fun for me. that's why i'm about as far south as i can get right now. houston is great, and i can just lay out on a rooftop without bag or tent. below is a picture i took on the 4th. more at http://www.uer.ca/...d=3&threadid=33528 i put my camera on timer, but thought i didn't set it correctly and walked off as it took the picture. made an odd faded effect. silly little things about cameras amuse me because i don't know anything about photography.

these are some shots from last evening. the sunset was lovely. i think i found a keeper.

You might want to check out "Snowshoeing through Sewers" by Michael Aaron Rockland. Some instances of urban camping, including the area around the Rossville Boatyard and some coastal parks. Probably could be found on Amazon.

Nov. 24, 2007--The city of Cleveland, Ohio, announces that it has developed tactical nuclear weapons, and does not wish to hear any more jokes.
