New Map
< on 3/9/2006 7:29 PM >
Posted on Forum: UER Forum

Those using the UER interface will have noticed a new map!

Old and busted:

New Hotness:

The new map uses a different projection system, so that Alaska doesn't look bigger than all of the continental USA. I also much prefer the coloured version.

Rolling over the various regions of the map will make an info window appear with the same information you see for non-map forum sections (posts, threads, description, etc).

As before, if you prefer to not have a map, you can shut it off in your profile.

Enjoy!

Though most things I say these days are automatically dismissed, deleted, or not believed... I gotta say I like it. I like it a lot. Nicely done.

Hey Av, you might want to make one fix:

The Canada Other forum includes New Brunswick...

But your border line has NB inside of PQ.

Hi there. Hello.

Actually, half of NB is in the Qc forum, half of NB is in the Canada Other forum. And technically, the maps looks like my bedroom is in Other and my bathroom is in Quebec...I guess I kinda live right on your line.

Looks amazing though, except for that border...

Ah, you mean like how I suggested when the old map went up and you said it doesn't really matter?

Yeah, well, I didn't want to take the time then to re-do the whole map (this one took about 4 hours to do) but now I had the time.

If you're going to fix the map, why not add the border of Nunavut? It was on the old map.

I like it, only peeve is that it doesn't really fit in with the rest of the UER theme.

I like it though.

Looks cool. Only thing I noticed was that Southeast Alaska is shown as part of BC. They might wish they had our awesome islands and huge mines, but they haven't taken over yet
