| | | These were taken walking on the tracks that goes to or around the oil refineries in Denver, CO
This one I intend on working with a little more. Needs some more tonal range.

I don't think so. I think it's a root type thing.

| | | These are pretty nice! Just curious as to what kind of camera you're using for these. Looks like a 6x9 format. Is it an old camera or what? My favorite is the second one down, but I'd like to know what the vertical black lines are. Are they division lines from the negative or something that you added in yourself?

Well, I shot these all with my digital rebel. I shoot only raw format. But I have gotten good at ripping off a film feel. I think that is going to be important with film disappearing. There are so many images and I'm talking magazine covers and stuff I can tell was shot with a digital camera and it bugs me.

| | | Well you fooled me and I shoot with th same camera, so kudos to you! Nice work and keep it up. Maybe I'll try to experiment with the same philosophy and see what I get.

| | | The seventh is excellent. Also, I'd agree with the tonal range in the second, but it is well composed. The third is also very good.
Edit: What film did you use (if they were shot on film, of course)? [last edit 3/16/2006 2:50 AM by nd31 - edited 4 times]

| | | These are really great. It's my first time seeing any of your photography, and I was prompted to investigate your previous posts and your website. It's refreshing, I like it. I really dig the extras about the photos: the borders, the breaks in the second one, the varying frame sizes. Those are the kinds of things that can turn out really cheesy in digital photography, but I think you pulled it off in a very tasteful and interesting way.

Thanks. I've been working at recreating a film feel. It's going very well I think. I have started printing some of these. And I am happy with the results.
